Katniss Cupquake Danger has her first day of 4th grade. It is a bittersweet day for her. Last night, we found out that her best friend would not be allowed to attend the same old school as she had been doing in the past. The new school was built and with it came new boundaries. The BF literally lives on the wrong side of the street, and therefore has to attend the new school. Danger took it like a champ, there were tears, but she understood that friendships don’t end despite them not attending the same school. Her maturity really made me proud. Rarely, do you see this in adults, let alone in 9 year olds.
Our first resident foster cat when off on her new adventure over the weekend. Nicole is now being showered withe love and pets at a local pet store where she will hopefully meet her forever parents. She was a great cat, always smiling and chatty. We really miss her but we are glad to see her flourishing and out there for the public to see.
Dawson is doing well. He is starting to eat both hard and soft food. And, I’ve seen little presents from him in the litter box. Great job Electra on teaching him so early. He is only 6.5 weeks and will be up for adoption soon.
We are planning for our annual October/ Danger birthday atv trip. It’s five weeks away, but we are so ready to get to the mountains and trails. We will have a go pro so stay tuned for footage!
I really want to start an animal sanctuary on our property. I don’t even know where to begin. It’s a pipe dream for now, but its something that really speaks to my heart and soul. Corporate is just not for me anymore. I find myself even losing a bit of my creativity and giving it to the animals in need instead. Things are coming in huge changes. Exciting new changes for both my website, my business. and my personal life. I can’t speak of it right now, but when I can I will.
Until then, keep your heart anchored to the things that matter. Let go of the things that don’t. Life is all about firsts instead of lasts.
